Overview

HNTB Corporation is currently seeking a CEI Project Administrator in our CEI Jacksonville, Florida offices to support complex FDOT highway and bridge projects in District 2. This opening is for a large complex project and requires an understanding of CEI role for both road and bridge work.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall field management of HNTB's contract, administration and coordination on mid to large size project of a diverse and complex nature.

Essential Responsibility

  • Monitors activities of assigned staff for conformance with HNTB's contractual requirements.

  • Provides technical leadership for complex or unique assignments.

  • Reviews drawings, specifications, and installation for constructability. May recommend changes to design.

  • Analyzes complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnel.

  • Reads and interprets complex contract documents (plans, specs, shop drawings).

  • Collects data to brief Client on project issues and provides possible resolutions.

  • Prepares summary inspection reports of daily activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collect data to brief Client on project issues and provides possible resolutions.

  • Prepare summary inspection reports of daily activities.

  • Candidates whose current FDOT projects will be ending in the next six (6) months are encouraged to apply due to the anticipated start for this work in the Summer of 2017.

Basic Qualification

15 years construction related experience

Preferred Qualification/Skills

  • 5 years of Project Administration experience on FDOT projects

  • CTQP certifications

General Work Conditions

Combination Office and Field Environment: Most work is performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use. Work may infrequently be performed at client’s job site, construction trailer, and in the field. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, working in a construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment and doing extensive walking. Adherence to applicable safety protocol is required.
