We are currently seeking a Project Director/Systems Lead to be part of this continued growth, who is passionate for supporting the Rail & Transit industry. This highly visible position offers a unique opportunity to drive project delivery as well as lead business and market development.
Responsible for the profitable operation of large, mega projects.
Responsible for managing and delivering mega projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on the project.
Identifies and markets additional business opportunities with key clients.
Sets priorities, secure resources and obtain commitment to work according to the project planned with department managers and section heads.
Consistently maintains an overall view for the progress of the assigned project.
Oversees the Project Managers and as a functional manager, to support with the right resources, competencies and tools that are available.
Ensures the achievement of product quality, project targets, budget control and project profitability over the project portfolio.
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Serves as a leader or team member on Client Service Teams
Manages, recruits and develops personal assigned for the contracts under his/her supervision
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
16 years engineering experience, including directing large mega projects
Experience managing successful, large rail transit projects
Experience on Traction Power systems (design and design reviews)
Working / technical knowledge of rail systems (track, Signal, Power, OCS, structures)
Working knowledge of railway operations / infrastructure
Requires excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills,
Requires ability to interface with client as firm representative.
General Work Conditions
Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
