This opportunity entails, while under close supervision, assist assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic and routine administrative support work and other related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary business curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Our Atlanta, GA team is seeking a Graphic Design intern for summer 2025. Relocation and housing are not provided for this role.
As a Graphic Design Intern, you will be responsible for creating graphics that align with client expectations and project specifications. Utilizing design software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator on both Mac and PC platforms, you will translate concepts into visually compelling designs for both print and digital assets. Your role requires maintaining consistency with HNTB branding guidelines as outlined by Communications and Marketing, ensuring final design executions are polished and professional. You'll help organize and catalog creative assets, contributing to the team's efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.
Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
Assists management in analyzing various data.
Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
What We Prefer:
Pursuing a degree in Art, Graphic Design or related field.
Online portfolio showcasing work samples.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
Possess excellent creativity, attention to detail, organizational skills, and process driven.
A willingness to interpret art direction, follow guidelines, and accept constructive feedback.
Knowledge and ability to utilize Mac and/or PC based design software including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task.
