HNTB Environmental Planning Intern - Summer 2021 in Austin, Texas
What We're Looking For
Our Austin, TX office is seeking an Environmental Planning Intern for Summer 2021.
Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Assists with research, development and documentation of projects
Assists with analysis of environmental impacts as assigned
NEPA for Transportation Projects
TxDOT Environmental Review Process
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Pursuing a major in environmental science, land development planning, natural resources sciences, or urban planning
Coursework or interest in Ecology, Biology, Fishery or Forestry, Historic Preservation, Archaeology, Environmental Planning, Public Involvement, or Urban Planning with a focus on environmental
Previous internship experience
Problem solving and analytical skills
Works well in a team setting
What You'll Need
Essential Responsibilities:
Assists project team members with various support tasks.
Conducts basic research and data collection.
Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
Assist in the development of presentation materials and reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED or equivalent
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary degree program.
