HNTB Landscape Architect V in Bellevue, Washington

What We're Looking For

Oversees and develops technical solutions for medium to large sized transportation, urban design and landscape architecture projects to ensure that the client’s technical requirements are fully met. May serve as a Project Manager or Task Lead for select medium-to-large scale projects.

Primary Focus will Include:

  • Preliminary design, final design, construction documents, urban design, visual quality, construction management

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • 10+ years in landscape architecture/urban design on large-scale projects

  • RLA Certification

  • Knowledge of other disciplines beyond landscape architecture/urban design, such as civil/structural engineering, water resources, and ecosystem restoration.

  • Experience in business development and fostering client relationships

  • Experience leading and mentoring junior staff

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • With a thorough knowledge of landscape architecture and/or urban design, understands the design applications of construction materials, plan materials, construction methods and the integration of landscape architecture and urban design with other disciplines.

  • Proactively assists or oversees other project team members in development of solutions for medium to large scale projects.

  • Interfaces with client group and community stakeholders.

  • Identifies and recommends appropriate technical procedures that should be used on a project.

  • Prepares design documents, technical plans, written reports on medium to large sized projects.

  • Articulates project design in written, verbal and graphic form.

  • Conducts site visits to review implementation of project.

  • Responsible for significant portions of presentations and public facilitation.

  • Prepares scopes of work, fee proposals and responses to RFP’s for large scale projects.

  • Assists in the preparation for training programs that focus on design excellence and delivering HNTB's 4 for 4 (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project) performance.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field

  • 8 years related experience

  • 6 years related experience (with Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field)
