HNTB Program Scheduler in Bellevue, Washington
What We're Looking For
HNTB is actively seeking a highly capable Program Scheduler for immediate employment in Bellevue, WA. The successful candidate will join the integrated General Engineering Consultant (GEC) team supporting WSDOT on the I-405/SR-167 Program currently underway. This position will be co-located with the client in the program office, with possible telework subject to client approval.
Provide guidance, direction and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex scheduling problems. Work on schedules of significant risk and impact to the organization requiring advanced knowledge of scheduling principles. Build and maintain schedules for projects. Monitor and report on status, analyzing schedule and associated changes for key risk areas and milestones impacts.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Develop and maintain the Program Master Schedule for the client
Review and analyze contractor Baseline Schedules, Monthly Update Schedules, Time Impact Analyses, and What-if-Scenarios for multiple construction projects using the CPM method in Primavera P6
Develop and maintain schedules for program preliminary engineering deliverables
Provide schedule layouts and filters of schedules as requested by the client and project teams
Identify schedule issues, opportunities, and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects and overall program
Generate cash flow forecasts from cost loaded Primavera P6 schedules
Represent HNTB and/or the client in meetings with the client and contractors as required
Clearly articulate schedule intricacies and client positions in formal meetings, presentations and in contractor negotiations
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
10 years of progressive project controls experience on Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) projects, including Primavera P6 scheduling and cost/budget control
Experience with construction of major highway/roadwork projects.
Experience developing and maintaining construction schedules for contractors using Primavera P6
Experience preparing Time Impact Analyses for contractors and negotiating extensions of time.
Experience with Earned Value (EV) Management
CCM, AACE PSP, PMP, CCP, or EVP certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business
6 years of progressive Project Controls experience on Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) projects, including scheduling and cost/budget control
Proficient in Primavera P6
Working knowledge of construction means and methods and work sequences
What You'll Need
Independently develops new project schedules for complex projects using scheduling software. Maintains project schedule including progress updates. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team.
Performs schedule risk analysis, including quantitative risk analysis.
Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay.
Performs claims related analysis using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, etc.
Prepares reporting from schedules including EVA analysis, integration of cost and schedule.
Performs contemporaneous schedule analysis.
Performs detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business
6 years related experience
In lieu of education, 10 years project controls experience
