HNTB Project Controls Intern - Summer 2022 in Boston, Massachusetts
What We're Looking For
Our Boston, MA office is seeking a Project Controls Intern for Summer 2022.
Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Estimating Support: Work with estimators and design team providing quantity takeoffs from design plans.
Scheduling Support: Work with scheduling team to assist in the production of construction schedules and design schedules. Help develop graphical representations of work schedules.
Document Control: Store, manage and track all records associated with a design or construction project.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Completion of 2 years of post-secondary construction services program
Previous internship experience
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with Sharepoint or other cloud-based Project Management Information System
Ability to learn new software skills (Primavera P6, On-Screen Takeoff, HCSS)
What You'll Need
Assists with construction office support tasks including but not limited to: taking of meeting minutes, assisting in processing of tracking logs, and other department deliverables.
Attends and observes meetings with both internal and external teams of a project.
Observes on-site material testing. May assist with basic shop drawing review and help ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
Conducts basic research and data collection.
Reads construction drawings and materials and provides feedback as requested.
Assists on portions of special projects as directed.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary construction services program
