HNTB Transportation Planning Intern – Summer 2022 in Boston, Massachusetts
What We're Looking For
Our Boston, MA office is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2022.
Relocation and housing are not provided for this position.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Assist in the development and evaluation of roadway and multi-modal concept alternatives for transportation planning studies
Support the interpretation of transportation-related data to provide network mobility analyses for all modes of travel
Assist in the production of planning documents, transportation plans and reports for clients
Assistance with traffic and multi-modal transportation data collection and field work
Participate in public engagement activities
Coordinate with sub-consultants and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Planning or related field
2 years completion of program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ArcGIS analysis tools experience preferred
Ability and interest in visually communicating transportation data and findings in an intuitive and engaging format
Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and engineering disciplines to develop project designs that support mobility for all users
What You'll Need
Assists project team members with various support tasks.
Conducts basic research and data collection.
Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
Assist in the development of presentation materials and reports.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School/GED or equivalent
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary degree program.
