The time is right to join HNTB! We are currently seeking a Sr. Right of Way Services Manager in our Chelmsford, MA office location.

Job Summary

Works with public agencies and private individuals to identify, negotiate, and purchase private property for public use or private projects.

Essential Responsibility

  • Performs advanced real estate property analyses, appraisals, purchases, and lease and asset management.

  • Develops cost benefit and comparative analyses of financial and non-quantitative criterion the alternative properties and transactions.

  • Conducts and/or provides lead direction to others conducting surveys to locate, evaluate and acquire real estate property.

  • Develops project plans, time tables, budgets and contracts to meet client's goals.

  • Interprets company policy for Right of Way agents regarding purchase of property, or payments and terms of agreements for permits and easements to install facilities on property belonging to other parties.

  • Assists in litigation activities and serves as expert witness.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualification

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

8 years Real Estate/Right of Way experience

Sr. Right of Way Agent (SRWA), Real Estate Sales or Broker License

Preferred Qualification/Skills

  • 15+ years Right of Way Experience

  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Massachusetts

  • Experience Managing Survey Staff

  • MassDOT Experience

General Work Conditions

Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
