HNTB Traffic/ITS Engineer in Columbus, Ohio
What We're Looking For Assists assigned department by performing basic engineering-related tasks including research, development, design and delivery on assigned project(s).
Primary Focus Will Include:
Complex communications network design plans for regional traffic signal and ITS systems, utilizing fiber optic interconnect, multiple types of wireless technology, and ethernet network equipment
ITS and ATMS devices and deployments
Traditional traffic signal installations
Connected Vehicle technologies
Perform quantity estimates, detailing and check calculations and drawings
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Hands on experience deploying, configurating, or testing traffic signal and/or ITS equipment and associated communications networks
Relevant experience as intern or co-op (traffic, electrical, or mechanical systems)

Essential Responsibilities:
Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects.
Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
