HNTB Sr. Project Manager - Aviation in Dallas, Texas
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an experienced aviation professional to join our dynamic team in Austin. As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure cost-effective execution of assigned projects to the client’s satisfaction. Serve as one of the primary client contacts to develop solutions as part of project delivery for a complex program, on schedule, and within budget. This position is for a licensed architect who has demonstrated expertise in problem solving and can handle the management of the most complex aviation terminal project(s) of significant magnitude.

What You'll Do:
Has full responsibility for managing all aspects of project(s). Prepares strategic plans for project success. Serves as primary liaison contact with the clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget and with client satisfaction.
Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
Actively manages client’s budget, schedule and program as well as HNTB’s budget and schedule. Responsible for project communications and documentation. Oversees office administrative tasks and project team assignments.
Provides oversight and monitoring of work to less experienced project managers. Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed. Schedules and manages for integration of quality management during all phases of a project.
Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on the most complex projects of the largest magnitude.
Responsible for performance evaluations, work allocation, training and mentoring of staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture/Design, or Architectural/Civil Engineering
12 Years of related experience
RA, RID or PE Certifications/licenses

Act as the primary client liaison responsible for managing and delivering all aspects of a large project including contracting, project controls, quality, risk, and change management.
Accountability for project performance.
Develop and execute project work plans
Coordinate and lead a large complex project team within a larger program context.
Prepare technical proposals
Develop presentation materials and present.
Provide technical guidance and mentor staff.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
History of successful leadership on complex projects.
Minimum 15 years of experience on aviation architecture projects
Registered Architect
NCARB Preferred
Excellent verbal and writing skills
Experience leading and managing a team of multi-discipled consultant teams.
Understanding of terminal programming and planning
Ability to work at the project location and/or frequent travel is required.
Candidate must be able to pass the required background checks to work onsite at a U.S. airport.
Experience delivering Design-Build projects is a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.
