HNTB Sr. Resident Engineer in Dallas, Texas
What We're Looking For
Responsible for overall field contract management, administration and coordination on mid to large size projects of a diverse and complex nature. Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating construction engineering assignments involving unique or controversial problems which significantly affect major corporate programs. Responsible for monitoring assigned staff to determine that the contractor's activities are monitored and controlled in accordance with design specifications and contractual requirements. Acts as on-site liaison between Client, Company Personnel and Contractor I in resolution of project issues. Acts as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts, principles, techniques and procedures for an assigned area of responsibility. Analyzes complex construction/design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures and consults with design engineering personnel. Represents projects at meetings and conferences.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Energy and Utility planning, design, construction, and coordination
Aviation design and construction
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- PE or Registered Architect
What You'll Need
Reviews and drafts responses to Contractor's correspondence as required. Implements on site procedures to assist staff in performing their work.
Collects data to brief clients on project issues and provides possible resolutions.
Reads and interprets plans.
Monitors contractor progress and compares with reviewed progress schedule.
Mentors and trains staff.
Administers JPI's, estimates to complete and budget.
Performs other duties as assigned.
