The time is right to join HNTB Corporation! HNTB is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager - Architecture in our Denver, CO office.
Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects. Serves as primary liaison contact with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget and with maximum client satisfaction. Handles the most complex projects of the largest magnitude.
Has full responsibility for managing all aspects of project(s). Prepares strategic plans for project success. Serves as primary liaison contact with the clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget and with client satisfaction.
Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
Actively manages client’s budget, schedule and program as well as HNTB’s budget and schedule. Responsible for project communications and documentation. Oversees office administrative tasks and project team assignments.
Provides oversight and monitoring of work to less experienced project managers. Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed. Schedules and manages for integration of quality management during all phases of a project.
Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts on the most complex projects of the largest magnitude.
Responsible for performance evaluations, work allocation, training and mentoring of staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience with large scale aviation projects including terminal planning, design and construction. Prior history & experience with aviation authorities and jurisdictional agencies is a requirement and previous successful experience with DIA preferred.
Job responsibilities will include leading large teams of in-house and out-of-house professionals, including internal coordination of team members in multiple geographic areas of the USA.
Assisting with creation of fee proposals, workplans and contracts, plus direct responsibility for establishing and monitoring budgets, working in partnership with the firms' business, delivery and operations managers to assure successful project delivery and performance.
The candidate must demonstrate an ability to successfully communicate and effectively present ideas to the client, design and construction teams, and will be in direct contact with the client throughout the project duration.
Engagement of the client's stakeholders in delivery of a successful project is required.
The candidate may also be called upon to participate in business development opportunities for aviation clients, including participation in strategic planning & pursuit meetings.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture/Design, or Architectural/Civil Engineering
12 Years of related experience
RA, RID or PE Certifications/Licenses
Anticipation of changes and willingness to be flexible will be key attributes of the successful candidate.
The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs including MS Word; MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
A working knowledge of Revit application to design and MS Project is preferred.
Aviation project experience
History of successful leadership on complex projects
Previous experience leading projects and teams on complex projects

Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
