The time is right to join HNTB! We are seeking a Construction S cheduler II for our Detroit, MI and Minniapolis, MN offices. Qualified applicants who require relocation will be considered for this job opening.
For more than 25 years, the HNTB Michigan offices have planned, designed, and delivered some of the largest and most complex infrastructure projects in Michigan. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to some of the most transformational transportation projects throughout Michigan.
Under moderate supervision, performs scheduling assignments requiring knowledge of scheduling principles. Builds and maintains schedules for projects. Monitors and reports on status, analyzing schedules and associated changes for key risk areas and milestones impact. Generally works on the mid-sized projects or may work under guidance on larger more complex projects.
Develops moderately complex schedules. Maintains project schedules including progress updates. Revises forecasts and evaluates impact of delay. Communicates status of schedule and key risk areas to members of project management team.
Performs schedule analysis to include critical activities, risk areas, key milestones and significant changes to schedule. Develops “what if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing in order to mitigate or avoid schedule delays.
Prepares reporting from schedules including EVA analysis, integration of cost & schedule.
Performs contemporaneous schedule analysis.
Performs detailed review of contractor schedule submittals, including baseline and progress updates.
Researches project documentation relating to claim data, including project correspondence and inspection diaries.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Two or more years of experience with Primavera P6 latest version
Experience in construction projects
Two years of scheduling experience involving CPM scheduling of multi-project work programs, including the development, cost-loading, monitoring, updating, reporting and presentation of project plans and schedules.
Experience in transportation projects
Experience in claims review and mitigation
Experience with cost management, budget control, forecasting, and trending
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business
2 years related experience
In lieu of education, 6 years project controls experience
- AACE PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or equivalent
General Work Conditions
Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
