HNTB Business/Finance Intern - Summer 2021 in East Lansing, Michigan
What We're Looking For
Under close supervision, assists assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic and routine administrative support work and other related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary business curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Project Finance - Learn about project finance responsibilities at HNTB and support the team with reports, tracking, maintenance of Project SharePoint sites and other tasks.
Accounts Payable - Prepare expense reports and commute forms.
Office Support - May support the admin team with shipping/receiving and supply orders.
Talent - May provide onboarding assistance.
IT - May provide routine IT assistance.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration or other related field
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently
Ability to prioritize work and multi-task
Good communication skills
What You'll Need
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs administrative tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.
May support multiple marketing functions for a defined product or service line. Perform activities including but not limited to coordinating program development, tracking of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendations for future marketing promotions.
Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
Assists management in analyzing various data.
Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus working toward a BA/BS
