This opportunity is a combination of 2 related roles, Technologist and Document Control Specialist. It entails working alongside managers and engineers responsible for delivering HNTB’s Design Build projects. Supports team-oriented, client-driven, and results driven values. Deploy, configure, update and support established HNTB project and content management tools and solutions. Support project teams in the use of those tools and in some cases administer the document lifecycle for engineering and construction documents when assigned as the HNTB document control resource for one or more projects.
What You’ll Do:
Assists in the development of marketing and collateral material relating to technology services or products. Contributes to business development efforts, including calculation of cost, risk, and scope, and assist in preparation of responses to RFPs, RFIs and RFQs by providing expertise on specialized products.
Supports technology projects and products and/or leads specific to technical or functional portions of a project. Supports scope of work and objectives; estimates project costs and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts. Actively supports project budget, schedule, communications and documentation.
Provides timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinates corrective actions, and resolves conflicts.
Advocates for internal and external clients by supporting user groups and acting as a liaison between users and technology office.
Works with clients, internal HNTB resources, including other Delivery Technology resources, and IT to identify, analyze, design, develop and implement fully integrated solutions of moderate to high complexity that support HNTB’s products, service and/or business processes.
Applies business skills and consulting methodologies to collect and analyze data to determine the applicability, functionality, and viability of new technologies.
Researches new and emerging technologies, assesses feasibility applications to current and future business needs. Analyzes industry trends and recommends adjustments.
Develops detailed documentation of business systems and user needs, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify compute programs or systems.
Reviews use cases and other technical documents with technology office project staff to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning. Defines, develops and implements quality assurance practices and end user test plans.
Ensures process and documentation accurately reflect the current status of changes and outstanding issues so that business requirements reflect application features and functions. Identifies training and development requirements of user groups and provide support when required by designing and developing training initiatives

What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental), Drafting, Architecture, Urban Planning, or IT
7 years related experience
Primary focus will include:
Assist with deployment and configuration of project tools including SharePoint sites and ProjectWise instances.
Assist with periodic updates to project tool templates including SharePoint site templates, ProjectWise instances, Word, Excel and Visio templates.
Assist with periodic updates to SharePoint automated workflow templates or active workflows.
Assist with periodic updates to existing or creation of new SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and subscriptions.
Train or assist with training of project staff on project policies, procedures and tools.
Administers the collection, authorization, publication, storage, retrieval and retention of documents to ensure control and availability of documentation to project personnel.
Log, download, and disseminate incoming project documents and Log, store, and transmit outgoing project documents.
Complete or assist with completion of project management artifacts including the Project Communication Plan and Project Document Management Plan.
Assist with management of guest users accounts and access to HNTB systems.
Maintain various Project Management, Design, and Construction phase tracking logs and related libraries.
May assist in providing training to project personnel regarding document control policies, procedures, and systems use.
Performs and/or supports periodic audits of document controls processes and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The approximate pay range for California is $97,575.45 - $173,429.55. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
The approximate pay range for Colorado is $93,140.20 - $145,680.83. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
