HNTB Facilitator and Sr. Instructional Designer in Kansas City, Missouri
What We're Looking For
This position can be located at either our Overland Park or Kansas City office location.
The Facilitator and Sr. Instructional Designer works consultatively with internal clients and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conduct performance needs analyses and design, develop, implement and measure the impact of L&D solutions to achieve improved performance. Serves as an expert in instructional design, training, e-learning and performance consulting and mentors and/or supervises others on the L&D team. Leads the most complex L&D projects and directs the work of other instructional designers. Ensures quality deliverables and timely project completion.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in Human Resource Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, Communications or related area
10 years instructional design experience with demonstrated increasing complexity in human resources, training, or organizational development
Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) Certification
Oversees implementation and optimal use of the Learning Management System (LMS).
Mentors/coaches others to improve capabilities on the team.
Prepares facilitators to deliver training through (1) providing an overview of training, assisting facilitators in learning the exercises, background materials, and delivery techniques within the design, or (2) delivering train-the-trainer to prepare facilitators to conduct classes.
Expert with authoring tools, such as Storyline, Photoshop, Camtasia, Premiere Pro. Ability to create, edit and manage the properties of graphic images and photographs used to illustrate printed materials and enhance CBTs.
What You'll Need
As a leader in performance consulting, conducts needs analyses to determine organizational and learner needs. Collaborates with stakeholders to determine the best approach in solution development to meet business needs.
Develops and implements complex training programs to meet organizational needs by collaborating with subject matter experts on training topics and identifying other solutions that may be related to the environment.
Implements a disciplined project management approach (project charter and plan, risk management, ongoing reviews) to ensure quality delivery and timely project completion.
Simultaneously manages own and others’ contributions on multiple L&D projects that may vary in scope and involve needs analysis, solution design, development, implementation and measurement of impact.
Leads the creation and continuous improvement of the team toolset to meet the delivery of quality and meaningful solutions.
Monitors and evaluates effectiveness of training solutions. Partners with facilitators and SMEs to ensure content is up-to-date and relevant to learner and business needs. Manages and maintains materials in the L&D environment including but not limited to the LMS and other storage areas.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Education, Psychology, Communications, Business, Marketing or related area
7 years instructional design experience with demonstrated increasing complexity in human resources, training, or organizational development
In lieu of education, 11 years instructional design experience with demonstrated increasing complexity in human resources, training, or organizational development
