The time is right to join HNTB Corporation! HNTB is currently seeking a Sr. Claims Analyst in our Kansas City, MO office to join the Enterprise Operations Claims group assisting with affirmative claims.

Job Summary

Provides the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on claims for projects throughout the firm. Manages claims with significant risk to the organization as a leader or advisor within functional teams. Understands complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Provides leadership and training to less experienced employees.

Essential Responsibility

  • Provides technical leadership in researching and resolving claims issues.

  • Manages claims with significant risk to the organization as a leader or advisor within functional teams.

  • Participates in other project controls areas.

  • Participates in client meetings as required.

  • Provides leadership and training to less experienced employees.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or Business

10 years related experience

In lieu of education, 14 years related experience

Preferred Qualification/Skills

PE, Registered Architect, AACE CFFC (Certified Forensic Consultant)

Able to Read and Understand complex Construction Plans and Documents

Able to use Primavera, P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning and schedule analysis tools

Must have excellent writing and communication skills

Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
