Overview

The time is right to join HNTB! We are looking for a Division Business Manager to support our West region. This position may sit in our Santa Ana or Oakland, CA or Bellevue, WA offices.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing a staff who analyzes and reports business results of the division to corporate.

Essential Responsibility

  • Responsible for reporting the business results of the division to corporate and for implementing sound business practices (process and procedures) and other strategic initiatives.

  • Oversees accurate reporting under accrual accounting (GAAP) and other legal requirements (FAR/CAS).

  • Advises the division president, division sales officer, division operations officer, office leadership, and district/office business manager on strategies relating to all aspect of the business and operations and also in solving complex issues.

  • Involved in the strategic planning process, evaluation of investment opportunities, negotiating project or operational contracts (office leases or software contracts).

  • Liaison with corporate and involved in many strategic initiatives that supports the firm's growth and profit goal which would include due diligence of acquisitions, leading strategic projects like system conversions, new programs or initiatives, and integration of acquisitions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field

10 years related experience

2 years management experience

Expert knowledge in accounting, finance and project administration

Preferred Qualification/Skills

Master's degree in Business

Experience working in a multi-disciplinary A&E environment

CPA

  • Energetic, self-directed and success focused

  • Good communication skills, written and verbal

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

General Work Conditions

Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
