In this role you will develop design solutions for a variety of projects and coordinate the design through all project phases – conceptual design through project opening. Your role will include establishing the overall design direction, developing interior design concepts, participating in client presentations, collaborating with others through internal design workshops, and preparing documents during the project’s design development through construction phases to ensure that the design vision is executed.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team setting, developing creative design solutions that meet the client’s criteria, serving as a resource to the Senior Project Designer, Senior Interior Designer, and Project Manager as the design is developed. You will assist in the development of the interior design concepts, leading the development of 2D and 3D graphics, presentations, furniture design, and other collateral to convey design ideas to the client and project team.

Prior experience in workplace, aviation, sports, hospitality, or entertainment markets is preferred, but not required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provides interpretation of client’s goals and programs. Prepares design concepts consistent with client’s goals, budget and schedule.

  • Works closely with the project architect and project manager in planning and implementing all work processes in consideration of budgets and schedules. Work includes preparing work plans, estimating hours to complete tasks, developing project reports, managing consultant team members (including coordination and incorporation of all work products) and reviewing invoices.

  • May work in conjunction with Sr. Project Designer as a part of the design team on larger projects.

  • Presents design concepts to clients and team members.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on architectural projects of small to medium size and assists on larger projects.

  • Integrates quality control measures during all phases of design.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design

  • 5 years related experience

What We Prefer:

  • RA/NCIDQ

  • Proficiency in Revit

  • Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Rhino, and Grasshoper a plus

  • Experience with Adobe Suite products, SketchUp, InDesign, and rendering software such as 3D Studio Max, Twinmotion, Enscape, and Lumion is preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred

The approximate pay range for California is $84,749.21 - $150,632.34. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
