HNTB Transportation Planning and Mobility Manager in New York, New York
What We're Looking For
With a focus on planning and strategic thinking, identifies and develops opportunities related to transportation planning and emerging mobility solutions including micro-mobility and mobility as a service. Manages, leads and directs the planning, design and implementation of corridor studies and multi-modal mobility systems across clients and initiatives. Understands the latest in mobility innovations, trends and implementation strategies. Identifies and defines how these innovations can be integrated into our current projects, pursuits and opportunities to better serve our clients and our communities.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Understands and assists with all aspects of the profession within the office, including business development initiatives, project management, technical applications and design applications.
Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with landscape architecture, urban design, planning leaders and other office-wide discipline leaders.
Maintains current knowledge of advances in emerging mobility technologies and keeps the office, discipline and client service leaders up to date on relevant information.
Establishes short- and long-term opportunity analysis in alignment with office goals and priorities.
Leads business development efforts in this focus area independently and as part of Client Service Teams. Maintains extensive client contacts.
Prepares scopes of work, fee proposals and responses to RFP’s.
Coordinates with planning group director and office management team on strategic issues and achievement of business performance goals.
Attract and develop staff to maximize the potential for growth in this development area.
Serves as a project manager or discipline manager on relevant assignments leading HNTB's 4 for 4 (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client's satisfaction on every project) performance.
Monitors design and technical continuity throughout projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and experience in the application of current planning principles, practices and procedures as they apply to municipal infrastructure and service delivery with the ability and passion to develop transformative solutions for an equitable future.
Demonstrated experience in implementing corridor planning and mobility transportation solutions.
Demonstrated public process and public engagement skills, including strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex issues with clarity.
Broad experience with all modes of municipal transportation, including advancing smart cities projects, shared-use mobility partnerships, and other innovative programs and/or designs.
Strong understanding of working in diverse communities, local engagement strategies and public participation and inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
15 years related experience
AICP or Professional Engineer

Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field and 12 years related experience
Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Geography, or related field and 11 yrs of relevant experience
