What We're Looking For
It is an exciting time to join HNTB's Aviation Planning Practice! We are currently recruiting for an aviation terminal planner to join our practice in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will have a passion for aviation and experience with terminal and master planning, detailed technical analysis, stakeholder presentations, and narrative report development. The position will involve supporting a wide-array of projects in HNTB's diverse portfolio of aviation projects across the United States. This position has a high potential for career growth and provides the candidate with an exciting opportunity to help expand HNTB's aviation practice.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Supporting a wide range of aviation terminal planning tasks and general airport planning tasks spanning airside, landside, terminal, airspace, and land use planning.
Development of informative and easy-to-understand drawings using Revit, Illustrator, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other 3-D software as appropriate for communication to project stakeholders, clients, and the general public.
Development of presentation materials using PowerPoint, Word, Illustrator, and others as needed to convey ideas and summarize analysis.
Detailed analysis using Excel.
Will assist in the development of proposals and scopes of work.
Attend key functions and events in Clark County to build relationships with a multitude of clients.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
PE, ACIP, RA registration/certification.
Masters Degree in Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Aviation Management, or related field.
What You'll Need
Research data sources, gathers data, and conducts analysis of data for use in projects.
Identifies planning and analysis strategies using tools such as GIS, traffic, or safety software to manipulate data, assess scenarios, and perform project analysis.
Investigates, evaluates, and provides recommendations on planning processes and technical solutions that best meet the project needs.
Leads aspects of internal and external coordination with project team members, including other discipline areas involved with the project.
Participates in client meetings and interactions.
Leads preparation of maps, exhibits, and presentation materials for projects.
Conducts or directs research on issues, policies, and concepts pertaining to planning, and formulates recommendations.
Participates in the development of conceptual planning alternatives for urban and transportation planning projects
Writes major sections of and leads production of plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents for transportation and infrastructure projects.
Participates in public process and stakeholder facilitation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field and 4 years related professional experience
Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of relevant experience
