HNTB Field Representative - Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

What We're Looking For

Provides senior proficiency level inspection work to monitor compliance with engineering/architectural plans and specifications.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Civil/Structural/Roadway/UtilitiesInspection/Management

  • Monitor contractor's daily activities, equipment, personnel.

  • Monitor construction activities for safety, including traffic control, pedestrian safety, and worker safety.

  • Monitoring field construction work performed on a daily basis.

  • Develop detailed daily report of observed field conditions and conversations.

  • Work directly with project leadership in identifying, tracking, and resolving field issues.

  • Work with team on development of change documentation for field and design changes.

  • Duties may include tracking of contractor's materials used, and daily quantities of materials installed.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 8 Years Experience in Construction Management

  • Civil and Structural Inspection Experience Required

  • Previous experience working on Oklahoma Department of Transportation and Oklahoma Turnpike Authority projects preferred.

  • Understanding of construction methods, including standards, equipment, processes, and safety considerations, and an ability to read and interpret complex contract documents.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to maintain good working relationships with clients, contractors, management, and coworkers.

  • Oklahoma Materials Sampling and Testing Certified

  • NICET Level III

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assesses contractor activities including: inspection, proper installation sequencing, schedule compliance, and contract requirements.

  • Assists in review and modification of schedules, specifications, and drawings in order to identify basic construction or engineering problems.

  • Recommends and applies standard construction techniques and procedures in order to resolve identified problems.

  • Coordinates the activities of survey team.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

  • 8 years construction experience unless otherwise required by state provisions
