HNTB Highway Transportation Engineer II in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

What We're Looking For

The time is right to join HNTB! We are looking for a passionate junior-level engineer who wants to leave long-term positive impacts on our community on transportation projects such as corridor improvements, bridge replacements, interstate widening, and transit-oriented site development projects. The engineer will assist the design team to deliver quality work, on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction on every project. We have projects with notable clients such as PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike, SEPTA, Amtrak, and DRPA.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Building upon current knowledge of MicroStation and Inroads

  • Preparing reports, plans, calculations, estimates and designs for transportation projects

  • Expanding upon current transportation/land development technical skills. For example: geometric design, ADA curb ramps, sight distance calculations, setting of design criteria, grading, cross sections and plan preparation.

  • Performs under the supervision of a more experienced engineer

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Inroads or OpenRoads experience

  • Master's degree in engineering

  • EIT
