The time is right to join HNTB Corporation! HNTB is currently seeking Construction Services Project Director to support our growing North Texas Construction, Engineering and Inspection practice.
Responsible for the profitable operation of large, mega projects.
Responsible for managing and delivering mega projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on the project.
Identifies and markets additional business opportunities with key clients.
Sets priorities, secure resources and obtain commitment to work according to the project planned with department managers and section heads.
Consistently maintains an overall view for the progress of the assigned project.
Oversees the Project Managers and as a functional manager, to support with the right resources, competencies and tools that are available.
Ensures the achievement of product quality, project targets, budget control and project profitability over the project portfolio.
Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions and strategies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Overall management direction of major transportation projects providing construction services to public transportation agencies, airports, public infrastructure agencies, transit and rail systems and toll authorities.
Provides guidance on programmatic initiatives.
Developing leads, client contact, winning work, and ensuring profitability and effective cash flow of work performed.
Build and maintain existing client relationships and develop new business.
Lead major construction management pursuits.
Provide overall leadership to our existing construction services practice.
Represent HNTB with client, public and regulatory agencies.
Recruit, train and develop construction services staff.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
16 years engineering experience, including directing large mega projects
Experience managing construction services for DOT’s, rail and transit agencies, airports or toll authorities and delivering transportation projects and task assignments
Must be a seller/doer with strategic vision and leadership to drive business development goals into reality.
Management experience on highway/bridge construction projects.
General Work Conditions
Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
