HNTB Office Engineer in Riverdale, Maryland
What We're Looking For
An individual who will perform basic contract administration functions for small to large projects. Assists in performing field engineering inspection and contract administration functions in order to monitor individual contractor's compliance with specifications, plans and other contract provisions.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Reviewing outgoing and incoming technical submittals for compliance with plans, specifications, and project technical provisions
Coordinating and managing submittal workflows through construction, design, and owner representatives
Supporting the resident engineer and field inspection staff with current construction documents
Assisting the resident engineer with daily staff management and coordination
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiency
MS SharePoint or other document management platform proficiency
PDF software (Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu) proficiency
What You'll Need
Inspects and documents individual activities performed by the contractor.
Performs measurement of completed work to date.
Reads and comprehends contract documents.
Keeps inspectors daily report of assigned work activities.
Maintains overall project daily diary.
Prepares monthly construction estimates.
Assists in on-site material testing.
Maintains project data and documents, including drawings, specifications, test results and reports.
Coordinates testing and monitoring services.
Coordinates and schedules quality control inspections.
Prepares routine reports on construction progress.
Performs mathematical calculations for quantity payments.
Produces as-constructed sketches are required.
Performs other duties as assigned.
