HNTB New Grad Traffic Engineer - May 2021 in San Antonio, Texas
What We're Looking For
Our Austin, San Antonio, and El Paso, TX offices are seeking a New Grad Traffic Engineer for May 2021.
Primary Focus Will Include:
Prepares project plans and specifications related to Traffic Engineering elements such as signalization, work zone traffic control, pavement markings, and signing
Prepares project plans and specifications related to Intelligent Transportation System elements such as fiber optic cable systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Cameras, Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), and vehicle detection systems
Prepares project plans for minor roadway design
Traffic Studies - Collect field data, analyze data, perform traffic modeling, and prepare reports to support decisions on traffic operational issues and safety improvements
Work with multi-disciplined teams on design projects
Actively participate in quality control process
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering
Previous internship or co-op experience
EIT Certification
AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
What You'll Need
Essential Responsibilities:
Contributes to the preparation or modification of reports, plans and designs for projects.
Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
