HNTB Construction Services Intern- Summer 2023 in South Portland, Maine
What We're Looking For
Under close supervision, assists assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic construction services-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary construction services curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Our South Portland, MA office seeks intern for summer 2023 in Construction Services
Relocation and housing are NOT provided for these positions.
Primary Focus Will Include:
- Assisting the Transportation Construction Services team in inspection and documentation of construction projects.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
Completion of 2 years of post-secondary construction services or civil engineering program
Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure
What You'll Need
Essential Responsibilities:
Assists with construction office support tasks including but not limited to: taking of meeting minutes, assisting in processing of tracking logs, and other department deliverables.
Attends and observes meetings with both internal and external teams of a project.
Observes on-site material testing. May assist with basic shop drawing review and help ensure that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
Conducts basic research and data collection.
Reads construction drawings and materials and provides feedback as requested.
Assists on portions of special projects as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary construction services program
