Job Information
HNTB Traffic Project Manager I in South Portland, Maine
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who can both manage projects and lead/perform tasks in support of multi-disciplinary projects while mentoring junior staff. Typically, this is someone currently acting as the deputy PM or PM on projects, interacting with clients, and leading traffic assignments.
At our Northern New England (NNE) HNTB offices (South Portland, ME and Bedford, NH), we love what we do: From working on the most exciting projects, to being the leading engineering firm for many of our clients, every day will bring variety and opportunity. In general, our projects are in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont working for the State DOTs and the Maine Turnpike Authority – HNTBs longest running client, but there are opportunities to collaborate within the region and country. Above all else, we are looking for someone who is passionate about how the industry is evolving and wants to be part of the big picture solution. With that attitude, the career opportunities are endless within HNTB.
On a day-to-day basis we perform both the traditional traffic work common with our local industry such as intersection signal design, maintenance of traffic evaluations and corridor planning studies, and we also offer unparalleled opportunities to grow beyond those fields. Our staff can also perform ITS Design, toll and toll technology design, travel demand modeling, large data analysis and so much more – with a focus on the big picture and right-sizing solutions for client needs. Days will generally be a mix of meetings, traffic analysis, report preparation, plan development, project management, mentorship, and the unpredictable.
We connect regionally (ME, NH, VT, CT, RI, MA, NY, and NJ) – with our local regional office in the Empire State Building and an ITS lab in NJ – and with our 80 offices nationwide.
