HNTB Maintenance Program Engineer in Tallahassee, Florida

This opportunity entails being responsible for assisting in developing asset strategies to perform condition-assessment, support life-cycle management, optimize service-life and plan long-term maintenance, rehabilitation and replacement activities. Field work may be required with 25 percent travel expected.

What You'll Do:

  • Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.

  • Responsible for preparation and/or modification for select portions of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.

  • Develops project quantities and assists with development of cost estimates.

  • Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.

  • Able to self-sufficiently complete various tasks and duties including but not limited to research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or

  • Master’s degree in Engineering and 1 year of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

  • Develops life-cycle models to support project deliverables

  • Plans and executes asset inventory and condition-assessment tasks

  • Prepares cost-estimates using a work-breakdown-schedule that estimates resources necessary to support clients’ needs.

  • Evaluates asset condition and recommend remediation plans; coordinate execution of remediation plans.

  • Prepares formal research reports based on industry trends/best-practices, subject-matter-expert interviews and other references useful in developing thorough recommendations.

  • Coordinates technology applications development with internal HNTB technology teams to support clients’ needs.

  • Displays proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or other software as required for job assignments.

What We Prefer:

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.

  • Maintenance, design, or construction experience preferred.

  • Technology experience desired in enterprise asset management (EAM software), ESRI/ArcGIS and advanced MS Excel

  • Familiar with risk management and mitigation strategies.
