HNTB Software Development Manager in Tallahassee, Florida

What We're Looking For

Provides technical and operational supervision to a section of information technology professionals providing technology services to HNTB clients. Ensures the technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule targets in the section are met.

Primary Focus Will Include:

  • Manage Team of Software Developers

  • Employ Software Development best practices including code review and code check-in

  • Comfortable with managing processes in the software development lifecycle

  • Project future workloads and grow team as needed

  • Assist with Software Development

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Florida Department of Transportation or other relatable transportation industry experience

  • Proven solid Javascript, HTML5, and .Net experience

  • Experience with Web Services

  • Experience working with diverse teams in multiple environments

  • Project & Resource Management Skills

  • Solid Analytics and Reporting skills using MS Office

  • Ability to manage staff on small to large projects

  • Experience with Customer/Stakeholder Mgmt., Analysis/Problem Solving, Communication and Process Orientation

What You'll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical and operational supervision to a section of information technology professionals.

  • Ensures that the technical, administrative, direct labor and schedule targets for the section are met.

  • Ensures employee development, training and performance management of staff.

  • Responsible for revenue generation and HNTB’s 4 for 4 (Consistent delivery of quality work, on time, on budget, and to the client’s satisfaction on every project) delivery for projects for the section.

  • Builds strong client relationships with new and existing clients, leveraging those relationships to generate opportunities for new work.

  • Develops, reviews and approves scope and fee estimates for work performed by the group.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree

  • 12 years project management related experience and 2 years supervisory experience

  • In lieu of education, 16 years project management related experience and 2 years supervisory experience
