Become an integral member of a small, highly dynamic Quality Team that actively participates as part of the leadership team for GDOT's Program Consultant Management (PMC), a multi-billion dollar Program. Assist in development and operationalization of initiatives within the team. Role will with work mostly programmatically, but, also may in PMC’s Portfolio of Projects. Duties will include leading/managing/aiding in foundational quality elements.
What You'll Do:
Completes assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
Assist in the development of project specifications.
Responsible for development of discipline specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
Aids in the coordination and productivity of project team members.
Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
Works closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
Performs quality control reviews of discipline - specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
Assists with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or
PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
What You'll Bring:
Reports directly to the PMC Quality Manager
Duties include Leading/Managing/Assisting:
Quality Auditing and Compliance activities (Programmatic, Pre-Let, Procurement, and Post-Let)
Continuous Improvement efforts to include the PMC’s Lessons Learned initiative, AARs, RCAs, etc
PMC Governance Document development initiative
Maintaining Quality oversight implementation Tools and Trackers
Additionally, working collaboratively, assist with:
PMC’s Organization Excellence individuals in Alignment, Engagement, and Training
Additional quality-related assignments as may be deemed necessary
What We Prefer:
Experience with working on behalf of the client, proactively driving to a success outcome.
Highly skilled communicator, who also possess a work philosophy that diffuses tensions and reduces apprehension.
The successful candidate should understand horizontal construction, preferably using Alternative Delivery Models, as well as how Contractors ‘think’.
The successful candidate should understand Auditing, with a Continuous Improvement mindset.
Being curious and having a positive mindset is essential.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification, ASQ, or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline)
