HNTB Regional Business Development Leader - Sports Architecture in Atlanta, Georgia

In collaboration with other architecture practice and market leaders, this role will be responsible for uncovering and pursuing new business opportunities within a defined region, identifying, establishing, and nurturing relationships with new and existing clients.

Duties will include the following:

•Identify top project opportunities, develop pursuit approach, and support development of win strategies for the largest, most complex projects.

•Identify key decision-makers and contacts with each target client, building relationships at all levels of the organization to establish trusted advisor status.

•Work with the practice, office, and market sector leadership to develop, implement, and update strategic plans focused on growth and profitability.

•Maintain and update an opportunity pipeline dashboard for top leads and collaborate on the development of monthly reports to update firm leadership on leads/opportunities.

•Participate in industry conferences and other external professional organizations to develop business contacts, promote HNTB and expand network of clients and partner firms.

•Work in collaboration with pursuit teams to develop and implement successful proposal and interview strategies resulting in shortlisting and selection.

•Work directly with our marketing team, providing guidance in the preparation of collateral materials such as PowerPoint presentations, brochures, proposals, interview presentations, and other marketing information promoting our firm.

The selected candidate will have excellent writing, presentation, and speaking skills and possess strong client networks within the specified market. Must exhibit a proven track record of leading teams focused on winning new projects, acquiring new clients, and/or secured new business within the A/E/C industry - on the professional service provider or client side. Also an interest in mentoring younger staff in the business development, marketing and presentation process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develops and nurtures key customer relationship to build alliances and acquire new business.

  • Keeps abreast of federal and state initiatives and develops leads on potential projects.

  • Directs the research and analysis of business opportunities, assessing potential markets and developing recommendations for entry into new markets.

  • Evaluates and analyzes projects through financial feasibility studies, market research and planning.

  • Develops policies and programs, initiates proposals, and negotiates with prospective clients.

  • Spearheads new business developments initiatives, builds business cases and negotiations.

  • Ensures achievement of strategic revenue objectives for assigned market or industry segment.

  • Plays a critical role in securing new customer and partner relationships as well as managing a set of existing clients.

  • Entrepreneurial role responsible for achieving revenue targets in specific market segments through consultative selling in which they build relationships

  • Networks with industry leaders and opinion makers.

  • Builds and shares a vision on how the firm can best take advantage of market trends and opportunities.

  • Manages projects, prioritizes resources, and leads the activities necessary to drive the revenue in these accounts.

  • Manages multiple projects with cross functional teams.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree and 15 years related experience

What We Prefer:

  • Master's degree

  • Licensed Architect or Registered Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or Interior Design
