HNTB Emerging Mobility Senior Project Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

This opportunity entails working directly with clients to lead and deliver technology projects and to grow national opportunities around Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and emerging mobility solutions. In this role you will oversee multiple project teams, stakeholders, and vendors, and coordinate with other ITS and emerging mobility solutions practice groups within HNTB to ensure that projects align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives. You will apply a Systems Engineering focus to working with clients and technology office staff to identify, analyze, design, develop and implement fully integrated solutions of moderate to large-scale complexity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Establishes and implements project management processes and strategies for all technical projects.

  • Analyzes project requirements and develops work plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables for the teams.

  • Assigns and oversees the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring they are working toward established goals.

  • Holds regular technical team meetings to monitor progress and addresses any issues or challenges regarding projects.

  • Communicates project status and issues to senior management and clients.

  • Evaluates project outcomes and implements lessons learned for future improvement.

  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to the teams and clients as needed.

  • Researches and evaluates hardware and software technology options and weighs the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company.

  • Recruits and trains exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department.

  • Updates and maintains all production technologies ensuring proper maintenance and installation.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 12 years of relevant experience, or

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 11 years of relevant experience, or

  • In lieu of education, 16 years of relevant experience.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong knowledge of emerging mobility practices as they relate to connected/electric/autonomous vehicles, shared mobility, Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) solutions, and other related mobility services and solutions

  • Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering and the design, analysis, and management of complex systems throughout their entire life cycle

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices

  • Proficient in various programming languages, operating systems, network systems, security systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Organizational and time-management skills

  • Decision-making skills

What We Prefer:

  • Master’s degree or higher in project management or related technical field.

The approximate pay range for San Diego, Sacramento and Inland Empire, CA is $157,573.03 - $251,707.58. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.

The approximate pay range for Colorado is $157,573.03 - $251,707.58. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
