HNTB CAD Technician in Columbus, Ohio

This opportunity is an entry level position in a team environment, in which primary responsibilities include preparing drawings with CADD, assist in other aspects of plan preparation such as information gathering and data transfer. Also will assist in setting up project resource files and workspaces. Focus of tasks will generally be related to highway and bridge design for government administered transportation projects. This position has room for upward growth and great resources to help take your career to the next level.
What You’ll Do:
Assists in the preparation of construction details, design plans, reports, and relevant project related materials utilizing computer aided drafting, design software and various other computer software packages.
Transfers information in numerical, written and sketched, or electronic format from sources such as legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs and computer files to final plans and maps.
Assist in coordinating with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details according to company standards and best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related, or
In lieu education, 2 years of relevant experience
What We Prefer:
experience using Microstation, Open Roads Designer and AutoCAD Civil 3D
experience with MIcrosoft Office Suite including excel and word
experience using Bluebeam Studio
quality control on engineering projects is a plus

The approximate pay range for Ohio is $22.00 - $33.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
