This opportunity entails being a motivated professional wanting to advance their career by taking on challenging and rewarding project assignments. This team member will serve as project manager in executing duties to achieve timely completion of bond funded infrastructure projects in accordance with federal and local guidelines, scope and allotted budget. The selected candidate will be provided with an exciting opportunity to coordinate projects from inception to completion, working closely with a program manager, design consultant, and various disciplines and task leads to achieve timely completion of projects. This opportunity is like no other in that you will be able to learn about many aspects of delivering civil and structural projects, while perfecting your skills as a project manager. Tasks to be performed can include but not be limited to consultant negotiations, project scheduling, coordination, reporting, plan review, budget analysis, document controls and other duties necessary for the efficient and quality focused delivery of projects.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.

• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.

• Assists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline.

• Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline. Guides and mentors team to overall project objectives.

• Coordinates technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.

• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or

• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or

• PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience

What You'll Bring:

• Understands the impacts of decisions on technical design and work planning.

• Coordinates work planning and design effectively across multiple technical disciplines.

• Prepares high quality deliverables that are on time, and within budget and scope.

• Works closely with other disciplines and multi-discipline projects.

• Leads/manages assigned projects/team

• Negotiates with design consultants/contractors

• Serves as coordination lead with stakeholders

• Coordinates with consultant engineers, utility coordinators, right of way coordinators and construction observers

• Manages project contracts/schedules/budgets

• Coordinates project adherence to design standards

• Develops reports and updates

• Performs other duties as assigned

What We Prefer:

• Master’s degree in Engineering

• 8 years relevant experience

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification

• American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline)
