HNTB New Grad Structural Engineer I - Architecture - Spring/Summer 2024 in Kansas City, Missouri
What We're Looking For
We are seeking 2024 New Grad Structural/Architectural Engineers to join our dynamic team in Kansas City, MO.
Individuals in this position provide technical skill in structural engineering to serve the structural engineering efforts through all phases of HNTB’s building projects, and performs structural engineering tasks such as research for code and project criteria, design calculations, and detailing and design for buildings. Focusing will also include creating analysis models, hand calculations, drawings and performs engineering during all phases of design, including construction administration.
Projects include nationally significant and challenging Sports, Aviation, Government, Rail and Transit building structures for HNTB’s growing and diverse Architectural practice.
What You’ll Do:
Performs structural engineering tasks, such as research for code and project criteria, design calculations, quantity estimates and detailing.
Prepares design drawings and/or specifications and construction phase engineering tasks under the supervision of senior engineers.
Responsible for learning practical application of structural engineering principles.
Conducts investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks.
Communicates and coordinates tasks with other project team disciplines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering
What We Prefer:
Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with primary focus on structures
EIT
Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA 3d, SAP 2000, ETABS, Enercalc, TEDS, REVIT skills
