HNTB Project Manager/Scrum Master in Kansas City, Missouri

This opportunity entails planning, overseeing, and delivering information technology projects within the company or for clients. They manage project resources, budgets, scope, and quality. They also coordinate with different departments and stakeholders, troubleshoot technical issues, and report on project progress and results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Establishes and implementing project management processes and strategies for all technical projects.

  • Analyzes project requirements and developing work schedules, milestones, and deliverables for the team.

  • Delegates tasks and overseeing the daily operations of the technical team.

  • Monitors team performance and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.

  • Provides technical support and guidance to the team and clients as needed.

  • Communicates project status and issues to senior management and clients.

  • Evaluates project outcomes and implementing lessons learned for future improvement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 7 years of relevant experience, or

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and 6 years of relevant experience, or

  • In lieu of education, 11 years of relevant experience.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience in a scrum master role

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and process

  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement, retrospective and sprint reviews)

  • Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, kanban, , XP etc.)

  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability

  • Outstanding organizational skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar field

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices

  • Proficient in various programming languages, operating systems, network systems, security systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

  • Organizational and time-management skills

What We Prefer:

  • ​ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • Scrum Master Certification

  • PMP Certification
