Work with a dynamic team of engineers, planners and architects delivering airside, terminal, utility, and landside improvements for airports throughout the southwest. As a member of the team, you will contribute to the successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB’s Aviation clients.

This opportunity entails performing work similar to Technicians with primary emphasis on people management. Coordinates the work activities of a group of technicians of various levels to ensure that schedules and quality of work are maintained. Works with professional staff in scheduling work and assigning support staff to their projects. Responsible for the training and development of staff. Also responsible for resolving technical design problems that may include performing field investigation or inspections, detailed design work and detailed checking of design computations done by others.
What You’ll Do:
Develops non-routine and complex plans, specifications, and reports.
Develops and implements operations procedures, methods and work systems to ensure effective and efficient internal operations.
Incorporates and compiles multiple sub-plans/designs into consolidated master plan.
Coordinates assignments with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Has substantial interaction/coordination with clients and sub-contractors.
Responsible for the promotion, discipline, performance review, work allocation, training/continued education and mentoring of staff.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
Associate of Science or Technical School
12 years related experience
4 years supervisory or leadership experience
In lieu education, 14 years related experience
What We Prefer:
Bachelor's degree in Drafting technology or related discipline
10 years related experience
Microstation and/or Autocad
Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads and OpenRail

The approximate pay range for California is $112,206.31 - $199,434.29. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
