Our Oakland Office is seeking a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2024.
This opportunity will focus in assisting with transportation planning research for transit, rail, and active transportation projects. Additional responsibilities may include spreadsheet data management, synthesizing and writing up data from multiple sources, and developing or revising Powerpoint presentations.
Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.
What You’ll Do:
Assists project team members with various support tasks.
Conducts basic research and data collection.
Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
Performs other duties assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
What We Prefer:
Graphics software, including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite Illustrator, Sketchup
GIS experience
Excellent writing skills
Experience with CEQA and NEPA environmental documents or associated public outreach

The approximate pay range for California is $21.42 - $36.50. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
